Gah. I've been playing with PSP all night trying to make a few wallpapers of some of the great P/Jo moments in Season 3. But once I get the screen caps to be semi-decent, I can't freaking blend all the pictures together so they look like a collage. :( They just look like a bunch of pictures stuck together. I just don't have the talent. Waah. Must practice until I want to kick PSP cause you know, that'll make it do exactly what I want.

Plus, when I was surfing the net for DC screen caps, the only place that has any is Katie Holmes Pictures and of course, the caps consist mostly of Katie. I need caps of the rest of the cast too, especially Pacey -- I mean, it's really hard to make a P/Jo wallpaper when all the pics are of Joey and the back of Pacey's head! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the DC fandom. I mean, if you look at the FanArt board on Fan Forum, the Roswell, BtVS and Smallville threads are thriving with a good number of fan artists posting. But the DC threads are completely lifeless. ::sigh:: It's kinda sad cause I so *heart* DC (well, as long as I can pretend Coda and S5 didn't exist). It almost makes me want to learn how to make screen caps so I can feed my own need for pics. *Almost.* But not quite. I just don't have the time.

Anyway, I was watching Harry Potter earlier and I just love Hermione -- "I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another brilliant plan to get us killed, or worse, expelled." Oh! And I love this line too -- "It's Wingardium LeviOOOsa not LeviosAAA." Hee. Spunky that one. Hmm, I also got my *N Sync Pop Odyssey Tour DVD (yes, I am a fan) in the mail today (thanks Amazon!) -- I must go see if I can steal the TV. :)

Special shout out to Down South Rob and Sebastian (only $152 per cheek! I'll take it!) -- My Rob got you guys some Star Wars toys. :)

I got lots of cool stuff from Amazon today. :D I got my Harry Potter DVD, a little R2D2 figurine and Rob got the Star Wars trilogy. What fun! I'm going to be permanently glued to the sofa. :P But seriously, that's all I ever do nowadays. Get home, check email, and deposit myself in front of my computer or in front of the TV with remote control in hand. It's sad really. And now that I've wallowed in enough self-pity these past few days to last a lifetime, let me just say that Daniel Radcliffe -- the boy who plays Harry Potter -- is SO adorable. hee! I'm 22 and I have a crush on a 12-year old. :P I was watching some of the interviews with the director and producer on the special features part of the HP DVD -- they showed a scene where Dan, Emma and Rupert (the three main actors in the movie) are about to shoot a scene where they run into a classroom and all of a sudden, Dan pretends to choke Emma and she's making this really adorable "Ahh!" face. ::sigh:: I want to take them home with me. Which reminds me that I have this really weird (well, my boyfriend thinks so) list of celebrities whose cheeks I want to pinch if I ever had the chance. heh. Yeah, I'm nutty but you all love me. ;) I might as well share it with you all:

1. R2D2 - yes, I know he's round and doesn't have cheeks but I could settle for a hug

2. Shaquille O'Neal - because of him, I actually went to Burger King and bought one of those gross Shaq Packs

3. Dan Radcliffe - see Nicola's scans page for more reasons why I think he's completely adorable

4. my friend Sebastian. heh.

That's all for now. Yes, I'm a huge dork and yes, I know. But I'm going to blame it on all the sugar I had from the ice cream cone I just ate. :D

I'm in love with R2D2. (Yes, the droid from Star Wars). :P I keep playing with my little stuffed R2D2 toy -- it beeps when you press its stomach! It doesn't take much to amuse me. heh. Anyway, I've just started reading the original trilogy books and I watched The Empire Strikes Back earlier tonight and I had a question (I'm looking at YOU Sebastian!): How come R2D2 didn't recognize Yoda when he and Luke went to the Degobah system? Or at least remembered his name or something? Hmm...

Anyway, I also caught the series (no! *sob*) finale of Felicity. *Semi-spoilers ahead!* -- It was umm... ok. I have to admit that I wasn't crazy about the whole time-traveling idea but at least it helped me understand that Ben is Felicity's destiny. The writers made that perfectly clear especially with Noel getting married. I'll always be a FAN though -- and watching all those flashbacks of their romance in season 1 made me miss them so much. ::sigh:: The ending shots of the cast were perfect -- all of them laughing and smiling. But can someone explain to me why Elena was there at the end? Didn't she die a few episodes earlier? And Tracy? I liked his character but I didn't think he was that important to bring back for the final episode, much less the final scene. And I just loved the little "Thank you" commercial from the WB -- they really did say "Hey" a lot. :D

Wow, what an amazing episode of Buffy -- I feel so emotionally drained from watching it. I love love *loved* seeing Giles again. :) I've missed him so much! And since I don't follow spoilers for the show too closely, I had no idea he was coming back. What a great surprise! I loved the Giles/Anya scenes (and was it just me, or did anybody else sense something between these two?), the Xander/Willow scene at the end, and of course, "Darth Rosenberg." hee. I wasn't too crazy about Dawn, though -- I used to like her but lately, she really has been a bit annoying. But maybe that's cause the writers haven't given her much of a storyline. Eh, whatever the reason -- I need her to take her whining off my TV screen. :P And whoa! That ending! I consider myself a Spike fan but I don't know what to think. Hmm...

So today was a total disaster -- all of us promotions crew members for the radio station where I work were getting ready for the events taking place after the actual Bay to Breakers race (food vendors, interactive games, and the big concert featuring Smashmouth) when all of a sudden, it starts to rain. And it isn't just sprinkling, it's pouring. So all our stuff is getting soaking wet -- the money tank, the spin wheels, the T-shirt giveaways and all our prizes. The event organizers decide to cancel everything -- so out in the cold rain, we have to pack everything up and load it back into the van again, which totally sucks because usually at events like these so many people come to our booths and take stuff that we never have to bring anything back to the station. Grr. What a crappy morning.

But I just got home from watching Attack of the Clones again so I guess I'm a happy camper now. :D

Grr -- I hate my stupid old computer. I wrote this really really long blog entry and of course, just as I as about to post it, my computer freaks out and erases the entire thing. I hate this thing with a passion.

So I got to see Episode II (the midnight showing) and I thought it was great fun! It was much better than Episode I but I liked that one as well. :P I loved the lightsaber duel between Yoda/Dooku, Mace Windu's dialogue (I don't think so!), the R2D2/C3PO banter, and of course, all the Obi-Wan action -- especially the one where he's having a drink at the Coruscant bar and then -- bam! He's doing some major ass-kicking. Surprisingly, I wasn't too taken with the Ani/Ami romance, although I thought I would be. I'm normally a total sucker when it comes to romances. I just didn't get *why* she started to love him -- I didn't really see a development or natural progression to their story but that's just me. Natalie and Hayden were great though and I did enjoy their picnic scenes.

Rob (my boyfriend) has developed a SW obsession -- he bought the action figures for Mace Windu, Jango Fett, and Padme. AND he ordered Yoda, R2D2, Anakin with the duel lightsaber, and another Mace from Amazon. lol. He even bought me the Obi-Wan toy cause he knows how much I love him. ::giggly smile::

Gah. I have to be at work tomorrow at 5:30 am! AM! It's terribly insane to be up that early on a Sunday morning, I know. I'm going to be working at this huge event in San Francisco called Bay to Breakers. It's the world's largest footrace (or so they say) and it starts at the edge of the San Francisco Bay, crosses the city and ends at the breakers of the Pacific Ocean. I think I'm going to be helping out with registration and check-in for the runners and participants. Should be lots of fun, but tiring as well.

Gah -- I'm not even going to say anything about DC cause if you know me by now, then you know I hated it. With a passion. I wish I could say that I am not going to tune in for Season 6. But I'm a glutton for punishment. ::sigh:: And did the closing shot of the episode freak anyone else out? The way the camera captured Joey's smiling face was creepy.

Anyway, gonna see Star Wars (whee!) in 2 hours!!! The bad thing is that I'm only going to have, like 3 hours of sleep before I have to wake up for work. Ah well.

Wow... so Roswell's over. "Graduation" was not the most satisfying season finale but it made me smile, made me cry and it made me remember why I fell in love with the show way back in the good old days of Season 1. I loved the scene between Michael and Maria when he told her that she's the only one for him, I loved the good-bye scene between Kyle and Valenti, I loved the Max/Michael hug and I adored the fan shout-out with the bumper sticker at the end. ::sigh::

Yay! Star Wars tomorrow at midnight baby! Whee!

This pic makes me cry! And yes! I *am* a bitter P/Jer. :P

There was an earthquake here (Northern Cali) tonight! I hate earthquakes. I was taking a nice nap when all of a sudden, there was all this shaking and clattering (all my CDs falling off the shelf). Scary stuff. I think it was 5.2 on the Richter scale. I'm just glad it wasn't "the big one." ::shudders at the thought:: My room is still a mess though -- papers and CDs all over the floor. I don't want to clean! Stupid earthquake.

Mother's Day always makes me teary-eyed. I lost my mom to lung cancer 9 years ago and there's not a day that goes by when I don't wish that she was still here, by my side. I miss her *so* much. There are so many events in my life that she'll never get to witness -- and I always wonder if I would have made different decisions or become a different person if she had been here while I was in high school. Like, I always felt that my dad was terribly over-protective -- if my mom had been around (she was by far, the more lenient parent), would he have been less so? Or would I *still* have chosen to attend UC Berkeley for college partly to get away from the suffocation I felt from both my dad and the rest of my family? I mean, I love love love my Dad but I really didn't start to appreciate him until I put the entire state between us. My mind is such a mess right now. ::pulls hair::

As for less weighty topics --

omg. That's all I have to say about the season finale of Alias. I don't know how I can wait *four long months* to find out about Vaughn! ::sniffle:: There's so many other unanswered questions too -- Dixon? Syd's mom? Haladki? Emily? Will's article? What a way to go -- more questions than answers. Geesh, JJ Abrams really knows how to rev up for the next season. And YAY! Michael Vartan in leather. ::drool:: More please. :P

Grrrr! I was working on a wallpaper and all of a sudden, PSP went all crazy and shut down. I lost all my work -- why didn't I save anything?!? :( ::kicks computer::

So I bought the Ocean's Eleven DVD last night -- gawd, I *love* that movie. It totally rocks. Good pace, great dialogue and story and lots of drool-worthy guys (Josh Jackson, Shane West, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Matt Damon - yum!) :P I watched it last night around 11pm and then after that, I even watched about half of it with the actor commentary. lol. I'm such a nerd. It was funny though! I swear. Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Andy Garcia were doing the commenting and they had some really funny moments. Like, in the beginning, either Matt or Brad (can't remember which one) said "I think maybe 5 people are gonna watch this portion of the DVD." heh. And they kept making fun of how Brad Pitt's character Rusty was always eating. It's true! Watch it again and see.

Umm.. I've spent the past like, 3 (!) hours doing absolutely nothing! woo hoo -- what a way to waste time. Not that I have anything else to do, but still. ::sigh:: I mean, it's kinda sad to be out of college -- sometimes I feel like I have so much free time and nothing to do. But on the other hand, I think of the papers and reading assignments and I'm *so* happy that I don't have to deal with the stress anymore. Mwahaha.

Thanks Tiffany and Nicola for the Smallville caps. You guys rock. :D

May 9, 2002

I just saw last night's episode of Smallville ("Crush") and can I just be a teeny-bopper for a bit -- how HOT was Clark/Tom as he was standing in the rain at the end? ::drool:: Yum! I also really loved all the moments between Clark and Lana. The look between them at the end was so full of angsty goodness. ::sigh:: My favorite quote was from Lex to Clark: "For arguments sake, lets call them Lana and Chloe." Hee!

So tonight was yet another crap-tastic episode of my favorite show Dawson's Creek. Very disappointing but at least we got to see Jen. The only redeeming scenes were the ones with her in them. I loved loved loved when she was dancing on the chair to "Teenage Wasteland." She's completely adorable. As for the rest of the episode, 1) the Pacey/Alex storyline equals waste of time, 2) Dawson was not the last person who went with Joey to visit her dad in jail, it was actually Pacey (convenient lapse of memory. stupid writers) and 3) Dawson/Joey -- well, I think I've made it pretty clear that I love these two characters individually and only as friends so really, I have absolutely no interest in their upcoming reunion. I'm in total agreement with Linda -- Pacey and Joey had the much more compelling relationship but *of course,* their great love story was sacrificed for the soulmates. My poor little True Lover heart. I don't care if the original plan for the show was all about the road to Dawson and Joey -- Kevin Williamson never even thought that the show would continue past the first season. Times change, characters change -- I really think the writers are limiting the creative potential of the show by writing stories that cater to the soulmate storyline but whatever. I've thought entirely too much about this.

Must think happy thoughts. :P

[edit: I'm looking for screencaps for Smallville ("Crush") and high quality promo pics for Spider-Man. Help anyone? ]

May 7, 2002

La la la... today is Tuesday night -- otherwise known as TV night for me cause I watch Buffy, Roswell, Gilmore Girls and Smallville. Unfortunately for me, there is also a Lakers game tonight which Rob *must* watch. ::sigh:: So of course I must tape all my shows. Who knows when I'm going to get the chance to watch all of them. Blah.

So, as I am wasting away in my room, I was reading an issue of Rob's PC Magazine today and there is a really funny article about blogging in it so I thought I would share some of the "tips" that the writer gives --

1. Blog daily. If you miss a day, use the entire next day's blog entry apologizing profusely. Explain in detail the fascinating adventure you had that caused you to miss a day of blogging. Make sure to rave about how great blogging is and how blogging will change the world.

2. Make sure your blog has a list of your favorite bloggers, and hound them to put your blog on their lists. If you get removed from someone's list, make a public outcry and demand to be returned to the place of honor, or threaten to take the other blogger's name off your list.

3. Prove that you're a dedicated blogger by citing at least five other blogs that you just read. Praise them ad nauseum. Then comment on links that their authors discovered and cut and paste these links to your own blog.

Hee! I know it's sarcastic but it's all in good fun -- I know I'm guilty of all three, for the most part! lol.

May 5, 2002

So I went to see Spider-Man this weekend. :D SO AWESOME! I really enjoyed the movie. I mean, I don't follow the comic books or anything so I went into the movie with a fresh perspective and was just looking to be entertained. I really admire the filmmakers' choice of Tobey Maguire in the lead role -- he was perfect at portraying the conflicting emotions that Peter faced as he came to terms with his power. My favorite part of the entire movie was at the very end when Spider-Man is flying through the air and he sweeps right by an American flag -- I love that image. Cause I guess when I think of Spider-Man, out of all the comic superheroes, he's like the every-man. He's not a rich billionaire like Batman nor is he a man from another planet like Superman -- he's just your average guy -- your "friendly neighborhood superhero."

The funniest part of my movie-going experience is that I went to go see it on Saturday morning -- 10:30am! lol. I don't think I've been to a movie that early since like elementary school. Hee. We just wanted to avoid the huge crowds of people during the afternoon and evening showings but it was just as packed. AND there were a ton of little kids -- all of whom were super loud. Gah. I'm not the most patient person when it comes to kids. ::blush::

Awwww... thanks to everyone for all the wonderful compliments on the new look around here. I have such a huge smile on my face now! :D

YES! Today I bought Season 1 of Friends on DVD -- you know what I'm going to be doing this weekend! Watching 22 episodes of non-stop Friends with nifty behind the scenes extras, of course. *lol*

Hmm... 'tis now May and I finally changed my calendar to the right page and guess who should be gracing my room with his charming good looks? None other than Josh Jackson! ::sigh:: Random, I know -- just felt like sharing.

Yay! It's flower-y goodness with Joey Potter! :) I hope the graphics look okay -- I wanted something a bit more colorful -- and even though tonight's episode of Dawson's Creek did absolutely nothing to make me like Joey, I DO love these pictures. *sigh*

Anyway, I'm super tired now -- gotta head to bed. *yawn*

May 1, 2002

I've been working on a new layout (well, not really -- more like new graphics :P) for the past few days so expect to see a brand new look soon. :)

Hmm, aside from that, I haven't really been doing much of anything -- Tuesday Night TV tired me out. I found Roswell to be really good -- I can't believe that there's only 2 more episodes left. *sniff* And is it just me or did that Connie girl look a lot like Tess? Weird stuff. I also managed to catch Smallville (another freak of the week episode), which grossed me out a bit. I detest bugs so watching a swarm of bees attack people was not fun at all. But did anybody see those promos for the Smallville episode that airs on May 21? I think that's probably the season finale. Anyway, the tagline was "The Storm is Coming." I wonder what that's all about -- I guess I should read spoilers, huh? Oh! Speaking of spoilers, I saw some *very* spoilerish pics for the season finale of Buffy on the spoiler board at Fan Forum. Interesting stuff indeed.
