April 26, 2006 I no longer love Tom Cruise the way I used to (I couldn't help it -- I adored him in Top Gun and A Few Good Men!) but I really, REALLY want to see MI:3. I think I'm being brainwashed by all the billboards and TV commercials. So I've been driving a lot more lately... mostly just picking Rob up from the BART station and stuff but I've realized that I'm the ultimate nervous driver. My heart beats faster and thoughts start racing through my mind... What is wrong with me?!? Guh. To make matters worse, I can barely see over the dashboard in Rob's car so I think I have to get a pillow to sit on while driving. HOW EMBARASSING. I hate being short. Posted by Kel at 09:47 PM | Comments (4) April 23, 2006 It was a good Sunday. This morning a friend and I went to get pedicures (the rain has finally stopped so I can finally wear open-toed shoes! Yay!) and then we saw American Dreamz. :D I *really* enjoyed the movie and totally recommend it. A couple of random things (mostly non-spoilery)... -- Mandy Moore and Hugh Grant had great chemistry. They played off of each other really well as contestant and judge. Go see it! Next week Rob is going to be in Las Vegas so I may have to rope another friend into watching Stick It. Heh. Posted by Kel at 10:20 PM | Comments (1) April 19, 2006 Whee! Alias is back! And I loved every minute of it. Some brief (and probably shallow) comments... Amy Acker's in the credits? That's pretty awesome. I think she makes a great baddie. And I loved when she called Jack "Grandpa." HEE. Ahhh, Weiss! I missed him. He takes pilates! *dies* Is it mean that I totally laughed out loud when Rachel ran right into the door? Heh. I don't want Tom to be bad. Please. What is up with Dixon's hair? Just... no. I adored the last hour. The Spy Family mission, Peyton versus Jack (she looked *gorgeous* walking away from the window and the falling helicopter, by the way), finding out Vaugh is alive... it was classic Alias. Like Season 1 style. Next week looks GREAT. I can't wait! Posted by Kel at 11:09 PM | Comments (2) April 16, 2006 Back to reality... Boo. Had a nice little trip to Santa Cruz for the weekend. Rob and I went to the Boardwalk on Saturday... thankfully it didn't rain! SCORE. It was pretty cheesy but we had a good time on the rides and eating junk (ie. corn dogs and funnel cake, YUM). Then on our way back home this morning we stopped by UC Santa Cruz to check out the campus (we're sadly obsessed with visiting colleges). Wow, it is HUGE... and really spread out. I guess I'm just used to CAL, where everything is concentrated in a walkable area. Anyway, since it was Easter, nothing was open but it's definitely a pretty campus. I love how it's set on a hill overlooking what I think is Monterey Bay. PRETTY! Anyway, I can eat candy and cookies now! YES. I don't think I ever mentioned it here but I gave up candy and cookies for Lent. 40 days! I didn't think I could do it but it was actually pretty easy. I wasn't craving anything after the first week. Too bad that won't stop me from having some candy tomorrow. :D But maybe I won't be so greedy from now on. I caught the premiere of What About Brian tonight. I liked it but I didn't. It's not the most original show and I didn't really find any of the characters sympathetic at all (even Brian) but there was just something about it that felt real. Plus, Amy Jo Johnson yelling "I'm getting a restraining order!" was pretty awesome. BWAH. Why does she always get stuck playing characters that grate? Sarah Lancaster's also on this show so let's hope that means she is staying far, FAR away from Everwood. I'll probably check out the next few episodes to see how it goes. I totally want to see Stick It and American Dreamz. DON'T JUDGE ME. :P Posted by Kel at 11:51 PM | Comments (5) April 15, 2006 Off to Santa Cruz! I hope it doesn't rain. Too much. Stupid rain. Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend! :) Posted by Kel at 12:38 AM | Comments (0) April 12, 2006 Rob and I are celebrating our 7 year anniversary today. :D It's a happy day. Posted by Kel at 11:38 PM | Comments (9) April 10, 2006 Just wanted to do a meme. If you have over 40, you are spoiled. Do you have: Do you: Are you: Have you: Did you: Hmm. 37. I'm not spoiled, I swear! (Although I'm sure my dad would beg to differ :P). Posted by Kel at 10:27 PM | Comments (2) April 9, 2006 Can the rain just GO AWAY? It's been raining here for-freaking-ever. It's making me positively miserable. Blaaahhh. Anyway, CreekCaps.com is MINE. Awesome. :D Posted by Kel at 08:07 PM | Comments (0) I went out with some friends tonight and had 1 drink (ONE DRINK!) and I have the absolute worst headache right now. Having low tolerance to alcohol SUCKS. Waaahhhh. Posted by Kel at 02:56 AM | Comments (2) April 3, 2006 Oh UCLA. :( OH MY GAWD. He is trying really hard to get people to dislike him. Poor Sophia Bush. She still has to work with him! Ugh. I would hate to be on the One Tree Hill set right now. So. Quick FOX Monday night TV comments ahead. Prison Break 24 Posted by Kel at 11:27 PM | Comments (6) I'm finally getting around to blogging about Everwood. I still can't believe that prior to the 2-hour event, only 9 (NINE!) episodes aired. First of all, let me just say that Ephram STILL needs to cut his hair. And that HAT he was wearing. It just made his hair look worse! Especially in the scene where he went back to the high school and was walking down the hall. UGH. Anyway. Loved the beginning scene of the parallel Bright/Ephram and Amy/Hannah calls. "Bring breakfast and beer." Aww, Ephram. I think I'm beginning to love you again. Comments in list form because I am laaaaazy. Spoilers for the episode, of course. Dislikes: Hannah. I am *trying* to like her. But then she has to go and give Nina relationship advice. RELATIONSHIP ADVICE. Enough said. Amy's "Miss Independent" storyline. I really like that she wants to have her own "Europe" but why does it have to include a professor? Or maybe I'm just reading too much into their dialogue. It just seems like her professor is way too interested in shaping Amy's opinions. And also in her relationship with Ephram. Weird. Likes: Amy and Hannah's fight. This was so realistic that it *hurt.* With Amy a freshman in college and Hannah still in high school, I'd be surprised if they didn't grow apart and have differences in opinion. Even though I'm not completely crazy about Hannah, I do love her conviction. She has her beliefs and she won't let anyone tell her that she's wrong. And in the situation where Amy seemed to be baiting her, I understood why she tried to change the subject to something she and Amy have in common. Ephram and Amy. I don't think I'll ever stop loving them. I adored when Amy told Ephram that he is still "her person." AWWW. Of course I want them to be together but I don't begrudge Amy's wish to have her "Europe." Especially since most of her storylines on the show have been boy-centric to this point. Looking forward to tonight! :) Posted by Kel at 03:09 PM | Comments (0) April 2, 2006 I hate losing an hour of sleep for Daylight Savings time. YAY UCLA! :D I'm SO winning my office pool right now. Awesome. So I *finally* watched Elizabethtown. Hmmm. Alie, you were right -- I didn't like it that much. Maybe I just didn't get it? Oh well. At least Kirsten and Orlando were pretty. And the soundtrack was AMAZING. So it wasn't a complete waste of 2 hours. Next up is Walk the Line. YAY. Argh. I still have to do my taxes. NO FUN. Posted by Kel at 11:48 PM | Comments (0) |
