July 9, 2006 movie weekend So in my previous entry I was eagerly waiting for Netflix to send out Entourage season 2 since Rob and I had just finished the 8 episodes of season 1. Weeeellll... the 3 discs arrived on Friday in the mail. And by Saturday afternoon we were done with all 14 episodes. Then after a short break while I had dinner with a friend, I came home and we caught up with the current season on HBO On Demand (this is so awesome!). EEEP. It was like an addiction. We couldn't stop watching. Now that we're caught up it's pretty depressing, heh. Ari is officially my favorite character. Gawd, he's freaking hilarious. And his relationship with his wife is one of my favorites. Jeremy Piven is amazing in this role. Congrats to him for scoring an Emmy nomination. He totally deserves it. I also love Johnny Drama more and more each episode. He has some of the best lines and he always has a classic lost puppy look on his face. I lurve him. I did manage to leave the apartment this weekend to watch a couple of movies (possible spoilers ahead)... The Devil Wears Prada Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest It's been a good summer for movies. :) Posted by Kel at 11:04 PM &. C O M M E N T S.Oooh, you make me want to go out and watch movies all day long! I haven't seen any at all this summer. Posted by: Amanda at July 10, 2006 09:56 AM Couldn't agree with you more on your movie comments :) I really liked TDWP, the fashion was great and Anne was adorable. PotC was very long and they could have cut out 30 mins easily if you ask me. Jack rocked as per usual and I agree with you that the first movie was better, but this one was still good. Posted by: Alie at July 10, 2006 12:28 PM Entourage is the one show I never really thought I'd get in to but it is so good and very addicting. Jeremy Piven is amazing as Ari, he makes the whole show even better than it already is. Posted by: Alyson at July 11, 2006 03:03 PM Entourage!! You lucky girl. If I ever find a job again, I'm signing up for Netflix as this is one show I really want to see. I can't wait for The Devil Wears Prada to come out on DVD either. As soon as it was done, I knew I'd have to buy it. I love Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep so it was a total win-win for me. I've never read the book though. As for POTC, LONG is right. Too long. I enjoyed it, but it was too long to hold my attention in some parts. Though the ending was amazing. Posted by: Sarah at July 12, 2006 01:19 PM I found my way into your site and found it really nice, simple and interesting. POTC was long but I don't think it would have felt so long if it had been tighter, more seamless in the way the story progressed. That was one of the strengths of the first one, which was definately better. Posted by: Angyl at July 27, 2006 12:51 PM &. P O S T A C O M M E N T. |
