May 27, 2008 hello lover I had my first bridal gown fitting today. It's even more beautiful than I remember... the beading, the neckline, the back of the dress... SQUEE. Today was all about the alterations -- the dress has to be shortened, the 10 point bustle sewn in (I'm going to need some serious help from my bridesmaids on this one), and the bodice taken in a little (I had no idea I lost a few inches in this area but YAY). Sadly, I still look like a freaking linebacker thanks to my ginormous arms. *sigh* One thing I had to bring to the fitting were my shoes. Since I splurged on my dress, I didn't even think about purchasing designer shoes. I just wanted a pair that were silver, comfortable, and affordable. I found a few pairs at Nordstrom that would do the trick. One night, a few months back, I happened to show them to Rob and he casually mentioned that he had been planning to buy me a pair of Jimmy Choos or Manolos for the wedding. UMMM. !!! YES PLEASE. So of course, I was on a mission and found this gorgeous pair...
